Eccoci all'appuntamento con l'Oscar della musica o come qualcun altro lo chiama
il "Sanremo degli americani". Stanotte allo Staples Center di Los Angeles è passata l'edizione numero 58 ed è stata senza dubbio la più strana e dimessa della storia, piena anche di defezioni e problemi tecnici.
Come quelli di Adele col microfono ma prontamente superati improvvisando una simpatica scenetta riparatrice salutando Kendrick Lamar...."Ti amo Kendrick, sei incredibile!"....
Per una volta non ha vinto nulla (il suo album è appena uscito) se non il 'TopTrending' di Twitter.
Tra gli omaggi quello di Verdine White fratello di Maurice (un saluto velocissimo) prima della premiazione a Taylor Swift.
Eagles e Jackson Browne per Glenn Frey, gli Hollywood Vampires per Lemmy con un inferno quasi vero sul palco dello Staples.
Lady Gaga che ha cercato di mettere tutta la sua bravura per David Bowie anche se in maniera un po' troppo compressa e affrettata. Ha scelto troppe canzoni (10) ed era impossibile rendere godibile il tutto in soli 4 minuti e mezzo.
Non ostante la sua abilità il risultato è stato goffo e senza il giusto pathos che avrebbe meritato David, peccato. Nessun tributo invece per Natalie Cole, pessima figura degli organizzatori.
Ancora più goffo e ridicolo lo strapuntino di Miguel per Michael Jackson e "Off the wall" veramente breve e compresso un po' come tutto lo show, pieno di scenette anche inutili che hanno ristretto di molto le premiazioni ma...comanda la tivvù....
Andando al sodo segnalo il trionfo di Taylor Swift e i buoni risultati di Alabama Shakes e Kendrick Lamar anche se non ha avuto la meritata consacrazione.
Tra gli altri nomi più famosi e apprezzati anche qui in Italia spiccano Muse, Ed Sheeran, Lalah Hathaway, D'Angelo, The Weeknd, Mavis Staples, Roger Waters, John Scofield, Buddy Guy.
